Highlighted Cats
See all the Cats!
  Sadie
Sadie is a very shy declawed female cat that will initially hide, but who does warm up over time with patient caregivers.  She is a perfect house guest with excellent litterbox manners and gets along well with other cats but is probably too shy to live with dogs or children.  She would prefer a quiet home and a gentle adopter who understands that she will take time to acclimate to a new situation.Sadie has a buddy, Simba, also declawed who would love to be adopted with Sadie.
  Simba
Simba is a shy declawed male cat.  He is gentle and has excellent litterbox manners, but will take some time to adjust to a new home and he will likely never be a lap cat.  Think of him as a beautiful house panther that you get to admire and share your home with, but one that will not demand too much of your time.  He gets along well with other cats but is probably too shy to live with dogs or children.  He would prefer a quiet home and a gentle adopter who understands that h...read more about Simba

How We Can Help Each Other

The Cat Shack would love to help you access low cost spay/neuter clinics where stray and feral cats can be altered to help curb the serious cat overpopulation problem.

We are also happy to direct you to other agencies that offer very low cost solutions for feral cat spay/neuter, such as No Nonsense Neutering (NNN).  Visit NNN's website at http://www.nnnlv.org/

The Cat Shack places feral cats that can not be Trap/Neuter/Returned (TNR) into qualified barn homes, but these are very hard to find.  TNR is a viable solution for cats which prevents unwanted kittens while also allowing the adult cats to live out their lives.  You can read more about the benefits of TNR at the following site:  http://www.alleycat.org/casefortnr

We are ALWAYS in need of good barn homes for these special cats.  Please contact us at catshack@ptd.net if you can offer a few of these wonderful, fully vetted mousers a safe place that has access to food, water and shelter.

Please spay and neuter your pets and, if you are feeding stray or feral cats, please be responsible and have them spayed and neutered also. It is up to us, the animals lovers that care about these cats, to assure that there is a GOOD home available for every kitten born. We all need to do our part to prevent the birth of new cats that will never be adopted.

We have so many wonderful pets who would love to have a home with you. Check them out!
